What information do we collect?

Do we process photographs?
If you use Virtual Try-On, we also process photos you choose to upload, and we share them with our AI provider to generate your try-on images. Your photos are never used to train AI models. You can delete them at any time.
Do we handle sensitive personal information?
Certain types of information, such as racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs, are classified as 'special' or 'sensitive' in some legal jurisdictions. We do not process special categories of personal data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR.

How We Use Your Information
We process your information primarily to deliver, enhance, and manage our Services. This also includes using your data to communicate with you, ensure security and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. Our Commitment to Data Security
We have put in place appropriate organizational and technical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic transmission over the internet or digital storage can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized individuals will never be able to bypass our security measures.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you give us: when you create an account, your email address and password and, if you choose, your name; the details you add to your profile, such as your wedding date, budget, dress size and style preferences; the photos you select for Virtual Try-On; and the name, email address and message you send when you contact us.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider shares your name and email address with us. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive a relay address that forwards to you instead of your real email address. We do not control how the provider uses your information; its own privacy policy applies. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We also collect information automatically when you use our Services: your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language and app version, and how you use the Services, such as the dresses you view, like and save, the pages and screens you open, and error reports if the app crashes. With your permission, the app also collects your device location to show you boutiques nearby; you can withdraw that permission in your device settings at any time, in which case we use the approximate location of your internet connection instead.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels) for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Why We Process Your Information
We process your information for the following purposes, on the legal basis named for each:
To provide the Services: creating and running your account, showing you dresses, designers and boutiques, generating your try-on images, and answering your messages. Legal basis: performance of a contract. You need to give us an email address to create an account, either directly or through Google or Apple sign-in; without it we cannot provide the app.
To keep the Services secure and working, including detecting errors and preventing abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
To understand how the Services are used, improve them, and measure our marketing. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires it, for example for the advertising identifier on Android.
To show you relevant content and advertising inside the app, based on your preferences and location. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
To send you emails and push notifications about the Services and about dresses and offers we think you will like. Legal basis: your consent, or our legitimate interest in keeping you informed about the Services. You can opt out at any time.
To comply with the law, for example to respond to a lawful request from an authority. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Virtual Try-On
Virtual Try-On lets you see an illustration of how a wedding dress might look on you. You choose a photo of yourself from your camera or your photo library and select a dress. We store that photo, send a copy of it together with the image of the dress to our AI provider, and store the image that comes back. The images Virtual Try-On produces are generated by AI. They are an illustration, not a photograph, and not a representation of how a dress will actually fit, drape, or appear in colour on you.
Our AI provider acts as our processor under a data processing agreement, may use your photo only to provide this service to us, and does not use your photo or the images generated from it to train AI models. It may keep a copy for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse of its service, after which it is deleted. We send only the photo you selected and the image of the dress, never your name, your email address or any other information about you. The provider processes these images outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Virtual Try-On is optional. You can delete photos you have uploaded, individually or all at once, from the Virtual Try-On settings in the app. Deleting a photo does not remove try-on images that were already created from it; those can be deleted separately. Deleting a try-on image removes the image itself; we keep a record that the generation happened, so that we can account for it correctly. Deleting your account removes all of your photos and all of your try-on images. Photos and images do not expire on their own.
Who We Share Your Information With
We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions only:
AI image generation, for Virtual Try-On
Hosting, database, storage and content delivery
Analytics and error monitoring, including Google Analytics on our website
Email and push notification delivery
Two kinds of company also use the information for their own purposes, under their own privacy policies:
Meta, which receives information about your visits to our website through its pixel, so that it can show our ads and measure how they perform. We and Meta are jointly responsible for that collection; Meta is responsible for what it does with the information afterwards.
Google or Apple, when you choose to sign in with them.
We also share information where the law requires it, and in connection with a merger, sale or financing of our business. We share your information with a designer or boutique only when you ask us to or agree to it.
International Transfers
Some of our service providers process personal information outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or by an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your personal information for as long as you have an account with us, and delete or anonymise it when you delete your account, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example, for accounting records). If information cannot be deleted immediately because it is held in a backup, we isolate it from further processing until it can be. Virtual Try-On photos and images are covered above.
Children
Our Services are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, contact us at support@bridifyapp.com and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
You can update or delete your account in the app's settings, unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and turn off push notifications and location access in your device settings. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular the one in the EEA country where you live, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and we will tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
