Amaris leaves the waist where it is and widens in one unbroken sweep to the hem. The neckline is filled in with tulle fine enough that the trim seems to rest on skin, and the sleeves stop above the elbow. The mikado is a thick silk weave that stands away from the body and keeps its shape. The hem is cut long, and the back fastens with buttons down the spine, which is the side the ceremony sees.
