Maurisse stays close through the hip and begins to flare around mid-thigh. The neckline cuts down in a V that runs well past the collarbone, and the straps are two fine cords, barely there. The lace carries the pattern, worked open so what is under it still reads. The hem runs out into a chapel train, the shorter of the two usual ones, and the back is panelled in tulle fine enough to read as bare.
